Have a general benefit to D.C. Bar members and related professionals.

Not include false, misleading, or inaccurate information.

Be original and not published elsewhere at the time of posting.

Present information, findings, or case study in an objective way that both benefits and informs the audience.

Not explicitly sell or promote a company, product, or service.

The blog post must be bylined and include a biographical note at the end of the article stating the author’s name, title, and affiliation.

The blog post will be labeled “Sponsored Post” on the blog’s landing page and at the top of the article.

Advertiser retains full responsibility for the blog post, even though the D.C. Bar retains the right to fact check and edit content before posting. The D.C. Bar, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to refuse any proposed content.

Submissions should be between 500 to 800 words. All articles must be in Microsoft Word format.

Content should be optimized for web readability, which may include use of subheads, lists, bullet points, links, and relevant images or graphics.

Submissions may include up to three (3) images or graphics. Images should be sized for maximum web resolution and submitted in either .JPG or .PNG format at 800 pixels wide.

Advertiser must secure the necessary permissions/licenses for use and publication and will provide such permissions/licenses to D.C. Bar promptly upon request.

Publication of images or graphics is subject to availability of space and quality of the image or graphic.

The D.C. Bar may use submitted images to create additional graphics within its design templates to promote the blog post, and advertiser hereby agrees to such use.

Copy is due to the D.C. Bar at least two weeks before the desired publication date. Timing of publication is subject to the blog’s editorial calendar. The D.C. Bar and advertiser will agree on a specific publication date upon purchase of blog space.
